About This Project
Thanks to our connections at Arts and Cultural Exchange  and the good people at the Centre of Excellence & Wellbeing we have recently been presented with the opportunity to help set up a music production studio in Bourke.
The ‘Centre of Excellence and Wellbeing’ is a local community-based organisation with an aim to address the multi-complex social and emotional wellbeing issues and mental health issues in Bourke. The centre has a studio space ready to go but no proper gear to get it underway.
Together with the generous help of Store DJ we are shipping a load of equipment to fit-out the studio and then on June 20th & 21st we will be in Bourke setting up the space and facilitating our first music workshops with mentors Kobie Dee and P.Smurf.
We hope this is the beginning of an on-going project for the community in Bourke as we organise weekly online mentoring sessions and regular face to face visits to support the local talent in the area.
